Michel Morissette

The founder, Michel Morissette, a graduate in pharmacy from Laval University (1982-86), first practiced pharmacy for 7 years before completing training in homeopathy (1990-92), acupuncture (1996-99), as well as in other aspects of traditional Chinese medicine such as medical qigong and herbology. He also obtained a diploma on the use of natural health products from the Academy of Apothecary directed by the well-known pharmacist Jean-Yves Dionne.

My little story

This is the story of a curious boy in search of answers… Born in Amqui, Gaspésie, I grew up in Quebec City where I studied pharmacy at Laval University.

Pharmacy studies

During the first two years, I enjoyed studying medical basics such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, cell biology, pathology, in addition to the introductory courses in pharmacy. The third and fourth years were mainly devoted to the study of drugs through courses in pharmacology, organic and molecular chemistry, pharmacognosy, pharmacokinetics and laboratories.

Pharmacy practice in Hull

In 1986, as a young graduate, I wanted to “see the country” and I left Quebec City to settle in Hull where I started practicing pharmacy and became a pharmacist-owner. I thought I would make a career there for a long time…
